David received his MID in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 1996 and his undergraduate degree in Industrial Design from Brigham Young University in 1993.
Professionally, David has consulted on projects including soft goods for the computer industry. He interested in issues facing small manufactures, production furniture, design theory, and "waste equals food".
He has been teaching at Brigham Young University since June of 2009.
