Paul received his MFA in Industrial Design from Rochester institute of Technology in 2002 and his undergraduate degree in Industrial Design from Brigham Young University in 1980.
Professionally, he has broad experience in product design and development consulting for a variety of industries.
He has been teaching at Brigham Young University since June of 2002. He is now serving as Chair the Industrial Design program.
His research interests are in the area of "design thinking" including the three cognitive modes of visual or spatial thinking, creative thinking, and flexible thinking.
